Francis Irving was a consultant programmer at the Bennett Institute. He is an entrepreneur, programmer and campaigner. Prior to the Bennett Institute, he delved into the horrors and joys of data cleaning and analysis while running the open data startup ScraperWiki. Years ago, he helped start the civic technology movement, making sites like TheyWorkForYou and WhatDoTheyKnow as a founder of mySociety.
