Caroline Walters

Caroline is a researcher at the Bennett Institute. She is an experienced infectious disease modeller; during the COVID-19 pandemic she was involved in advising the UK government on the real-time prevalence of SARS-CoV-2 in England as a member of the Imperial College London REACT team. Prior to this she developed models for influenza transmission. She spent 3 years at Public Health England focussing on pandemic preparedness and response, including response work for the 2014 West African Ebola virus disease outbreak. She has a MMath degree and Ph.D. in Anthropology and Mathematics from Durham University.
