Caroline works on delivering the NHS England OpenSAFELY service at the Bennett Institute. She previously worked as a data analyst and mathematical modeller in the public health research field, specialising in respiratory infectious diseases. She shares the Bennett Institute’s commitment to open ways of working and to preserve individual privacy in an environment that allows researchers to have timely access to data, which was essential during the COVID-19 pandemic. She has a PhD in anthropology and mathematics. Outside of work she runs a local craft group, enjoys cryptic crosswords, listening to heavy metal music and, most importantly, cuddling cats.
