Anna Schultze is an epidemiologist with over 10 years experience using routinely collected health data from both the UK and Europe to study the safety and effectiveness of medical products. Her research interests include medicine and vaccine safety evaluations, causal inference methodology and case-only designs. Anna is passionate about open science, has led meta-research on code sharing and teaches on reproducible programming practices. Prior to joining the Bennett Institute she was an Assistant Professor at LSHTM, and has experience working in private sector consulting on post-authorisation safety and drug utilisation studies. She holds a BSc in Human Sciences (UCL), an MSc in Epidemiology (LSHTM) and a PhD in HIV Epidemiology and Biostatistics (UCL).
Anna is an active member of the International Society of Pharmacoepidemiology, sits on the Pharmacovigilance Expert Advisory Group for the UK Medicines and Healthcare Regulatory Authority and is an Associate Editor for Pharmacoepidemiology and Drug Safety.
Anna is open to discussions with prospective DPhil students, particularly those interested in medicine and vaccine safety, causal inference methodology and/or case-only designs.
